Omega 3, Close to A Medical Miracle of our Century

OmegaRx Fish Oil, quoted as being close to a Medical Miracle in our Century! Omega 3, The Good Fat, Is on your side, they contribute to your good health. They are also a big part of Dr Barry Sears Zone Diet.

Omega-3 (you may sometimes see it written as n-3 or w-3) is the name given to a family of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The parent omega-3 - alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) - is described as 'essential' as, like vitamins, it must be obtained from diet. It is polyunsaturated and has 18 carbon atoms and 3 double bonds (18:3). There is no doubt that the omega-3 fatty acids are essential to health.

They are fundamental molecules in the structure and activity of the membranes of all cells throughout the body. They also have highly specialised functions in neurological tissues, especially the brain and retina. Because of their role in cell membranes, omgega-3 fatty acids are essential for the formation of new tissue and are therefore important for development and growth.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids (EPA/DHA) are Among the Most Powerful Nutrients Available to Help Reduce Silent Inflammation.

History has shown and scientists have found that the Eskimos of Greenland suffered very little from coronary heart disease despite a diet very high in fat. The primary source of fat in their diet came from sea mammals, which contain high amounts of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids.

The American Heart Association recommends healthy people eat omega-3 fatty acids from fish and plant sources to protect their hearts.

The role of essential fatty acids in the body and mind has been widely studied. The body of knowledge consists of thousands of scientific studies, including hundreds of clinical studies on Omega-3 fatty acids.

Scientific Evidence Reveals a Diet Rich in Long-Chain Omega-3 Fatty Acids Helps Support:

A Healthy heart

A Healthy Immune System

Healthy Joint Movement

Healthy Kidneys

Balanced Mood and Sense of Well Being

It's been well established that omega-3 fatty acids, a type of polyunsaturated fat found primarily in seafood, can improve your chances of living longer if you have heart disease. But its healing powers don't stop there. Other organs may benefit. They have a positive impact from the womb to old age.

Omega-3s are so important to human health, the National Academy of Sciences Food and Nutrition Board recently set a minimum daily requirement for the first time.

For years we thought there was only one essential fatty acid, omega-6 fatty acid (found in vegetable and soybean oils). But now scientists have added omega-3 to the list of essential nutrients humans must get in their diet.

"High-dose pharmaceutical grade Omega fish oil is as close to a medical miracle as we will see in the 21st century." - Dr Barry Sears.

Dr. Sears, a former research scientist at the Boston University School of Medicine and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is one of the world's leading researchers in drug delivery technology. He holds 13 patents in the areas of cancer drug delivery technology and dietary-induced hormonal control for the treatment for heart disease and type 2 diabetes.

The public first became aware of Dr. Sears' insights into treating food as if it were a drug with the 1995 publication of his book, The Zone, which became a number-one New York Times best seller. To date, he has published 10 books with total sales of more than 4 million copies; they have been translated into 22 languages in 40 different countries.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and drug Administration. This article is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure any disease.

It is very definitely to your advantage to study further the wonderful benefits of Omega 3.
